Riverfront Times

I was an intern at the Riverfront Times from January 2018 through May 2018. Within that time frame, I wrote 29 articles. From new businesses to protests, I interviewed several people as well as photographed them. I have had three of my articles published in print while three others received large engagement numbers on the RFT's website, Twitter, and Facebook accounts. This internship allowed me to expand my reporting skills as I wrote for the news blog and the art blog. It allowed me to hone in on my interviewing and editing skills as well.

Sapper Consulting

I worked at Sapper as a full time intern during the summer of 2017 and a part time intern during my senior year of college. Because it was a startup, my job roles varied. I wrote email campaigns, monitored social media, and created content for the blog.  In October, I helped transition the blog over from Wordpress CMS to Hubspot. This task not only allowed me to expand my knowledge of both sites but it required rigorous editing and design work. I've written three blog posts for Sapper, with one receiving over 600 impressions on Facebook. To write these blog posts, I had to do research on business and marketing as well as verse myself in the business jargon.

5280 Magazine

I began working at 5280 Magazine in August of 2018. My primary role is to fact check articles before they go to print. This involves speaking with sources and using critical thinking and language skills to verify that the reporting is as accurate as possible. I also manage the Arts and Exhibits portion of the magazine's online events calendar. The calendar consists of 70-100 word write ups that include enough unique detail to entice the public to attend the event. During my time at 5280, I have written online articles as well as print articles.
